Head of Commercial Development in Brain and Spinal Injury Care

Mark Coomber

For over two decades, I’ve led commercial strategy and partner ecosystems in the technology sector, designing scalable solutions, activating referral networks, and driving measurable growth. Now, I’m applying that same playbook to the brain and spinal injury rehabilitation space.

Operations Manager

Veronika Zustere

With over a decade of experience in the UK healthcare sector, I have built a career dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred support for individuals with complex needs, including brain and spinal injuries. Guided by compassion and collaboration, I am committed to empowering clients to live with dignity, independence, and confidence through tailored, holistic care.

From an early age, I recognised that my professional path lay within the healthcare sector. Prior to relocating to the United Kingdom, I completed my nursing studies in my home country and gained nearly two years of experience working in a special needs school, providing educational and developmental support to children. These early professional experiences established a strong clinical and ethical foundation and inspired a lifelong dedication to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

My healthcare career in the UK commenced in 2010, where I began with two years of direct, hands-on experience. I subsequently spent nine years within domiciliary care before transitioning into the field of complex care. In my current role, I support individuals with brain injuries, spinal injuries, and a range of other specialist needs.

Throughout my career, I have developed a deep appreciation for the value of collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. Working closely with case managers and healthcare professionals has reinforced my belief that effective communication and shared expertise are fundamental to delivering comprehensive and holistic care.

My approach is firmly client-centred. I am committed to ensuring that each client is matched with the most suitable support worker, and that every care plan is designed around the individual’s unique needs and circumstances. I view every client’s journey as distinctive, and I take great pride in witnessing the positive outcomes that can be achieved through personalised and consistent support.

For me, care extends beyond meeting clinical or practical needs — it is about empowering clients and their families with confidence, reassurance, and the ability to live with dignity, independence, and choice. The knowledge that my work contributes to improving lives and promoting wellbeing continues to motivate and inspire me every day.

I take pride in building meaningful relationships founded on respect and integrity.

My core focus is helping individuals live with dignity, independence, and confidence. I believe that outstanding care goes beyond meeting practical needs; it’s about ensuring that every person feels valued, safe, and respected. I am committed to continuous improvement and believe that effective teamwork, open communication, and ethical practice are essential to achieving the highest standards of care.

What motivates me most is knowing that my work makes a positive difference — helping to make someone’s life a little easier, brighter, and more fulfilling. That sense of purpose is at the heart of everything I do.

Senior Care Coordinator

Viktorija Strode

With over a decade of experience in the healthcare sector, I specialise in supporting individuals with brain, spinal, and complex care needs through compassionate, person-centred practice. My strong clinical background, collaborative approach, and commitment to tailored care enable me to help clients achieve independence, dignity, and a better quality of life.

I began my career in the healthcare sector in 2010, gaining extensive hands-on experience supporting individuals with brain injuries, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, and a range of complex care needs. After a decade of frontline work, I transitioned into the specialist field of brain, spinal, and complex care, where I now collaborate closely with case managers and multidisciplinary teams to help clients achieve their fullest potential and lead meaningful, independent lives.

My practical background has given me a deep understanding of what truly person-centred care looks like. It allows me to build and manage effective care teams that provide exceptional, tailored support. I know the difference a strong, cohesive team can make for clients — and I’m passionate about ensuring every care package is designed around each individual’s unique needs, goals, and aspirations.

I approach every situation with empathy and adaptability, taking time to see things from the client’s perspective, understand their challenges, and celebrate their progress. Being bilingual also enables me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds, fostering trust, understanding, and stronger relationships with both clients and colleagues.

Ultimately, my work is driven by a genuine desire to make a meaningful difference. I take great pride in supporting clients not just to live, but to thrive — whether that means helping someone regain independence after an injury or providing long-term support that enhances their quality of life.

At Rebound Care and Support, we believe that CARE represents more than a service—it’s a philosophy. For us, CARE stands for:

Continuity

Trust is an absolutely vital element that develops over time between a client and their support team. This trust is crucial for maximizing our clients’ potential to rebound from their injuries. It is fostered through consistent continuity of care, achieved by working with the same dedicated support workers as part of their team.

Accountability

As a company, we believe we are only as good as the last care package we provide. Too often, we hear of providers in our field offering excuses for why things go wrong or why certain tasks cannot be done. At Rebound Care and Support, we reject this approach.
We hold ourselves accountable for every aspect of our clients’ care and support. From recruiting support workers with the right experience and personalities to delivering care in an empowering and effective way, we take full responsibility. We stand by our service and are committed to ensuring the highest standards of care at all times.

Rehabilitation

When working with clients who have TBI, ABI, or SCI conditions, it is essential that our teams avoid simply ‘taking over’ tasks or functions that clients, with the right support, are capable of performing themselves. With a thoughtful approach and proper planning, our teams play a pivotal role in helping clients make meaningful progress on their rehabilitation journey. This progress is crucial not only for their physical recovery but also for their mental and emotional well-being, fostering a sense of accomplishment and forward momentum.

Evidenced

Simply put, ‘if it isn’t recorded, it didn’t happen.’ At Rebound Care and Support, we understand the critical importance of accurate and thorough record-keeping. Our expertise allows us not only to document ‘what’ happened during each shift but also to identify and record potential triggers that explain the ‘why.’ This insight helps us continually refine and evolve our clients’ care and support.
Our team’s meticulous record-keeping is key to this ongoing evolution, while also providing high-quality, documented evidence crucial to the litigation process happening in the background.
